Akroyoga København

Mindful Movement

What is Acroyoga?

Acroyoga is a movement practice that blends the physical techniques of acrobatics and gymnastics with the spiritual intentions of yoga, emphasizing connection—to oneself, others, and the world—over performance or perfection. It values process over result, focusing on mutual care, presence, and enjoyment rather than competition or mastery. The practice includes both dynamic acrobatic elements, where participants take on the roles of Base, Flyer, and Spotter, and restorative aspects drawn from Thai Yoga Massage, involving Giver and Receiver roles. While the physical benefits—strength, flexibility, and skill—are substantial, true Acroyoga also cultivates emotional awareness, honest communication, and a sense of community, aiming for personal and relational growth above all.

Who is Acroyoga for?

Acroyoga is for everyone—regardless of experience, strength, or flexibility. It’s especially for those who are curious about movement, play, and working together, even if the idea feels a bit outside their comfort zone at first. You don’t need a background in yoga or acrobatics; everything starts slowly and with plenty of support. Acroyoga appeals to people seeking connection, trust, physical touch, and a sense of togetherness. It offers a way to challenge yourself both physically and mentally in a safe, fun, and caring environment, where joy and playfulness are at the heart of the practice.

We have a class every Sunday at 16, where everyone can come and try out acroyoga a few times, before making a decision on whether or not to join our association.

There's no need to sign up, you can just show up at Hermeshallen. Go through the door, down the stairs, through the door, up the stairs ahead on your right, and find a new community.
